Leapfrog Services Announces Enhancements to SecureMail

October 3, 2005 - Leapfrog Services announces enhancements to its SecureMail managed email service. Leapfrog's SecureMail provides clients with enterprise-class security measures including aggressive anti-virus and spam filtering in addition to email server management by Leapfrog's network operations center.

The first generation of SecureMail was powered by CipherTrust's award-winning IronMail solution and Computer Associates' eTrust Antivirus. This two-fold security measure protected the email systems of Leapfrog clients against the worms and virus outbreaks that occurred from its introduction in 2002 through the most recent Zotob worm incident.

The new generation of SecureMail (known as G2) was developed in response to the increased need for corporate email security and regulatory compliance and is powered by technology from FrontBridge. Leapfrog clients using SecureMail G2 will benefit from a solution that facilitates regulatory compliance while providing message security. Compliance is facilitated by an archiving, retrieval, and reporting services for email and instant messaging. A highly secure messaging infrastructure provides protection from internal and external threats by employing multilayered filtering technologies and encryption.

In addition to SecureMail G2, Leapfrog announces the addition of SecureMail Plus, an extended offering that adds enhanced continuity of email service as a contingency for unforeseen catastrophic failure and disaster. SecureMail Plus clients will benefit from the constant availability of an alternate email system that will enable them to continue to send and receive messages even if their email server suffers irreparable failure.
